IPIC TOWER

IPIC Tower, Abu Dhabi Photograph of this iconic new tower in Abu Dhabi was captured with the Canon 5D mk2 and Canon TS-E 17mm f4.0L lens. I used a very sturdy Gitzo GT5541LS tripod + Really Right Stuff BH-55 ballhead. As usual, Promote Remote Control came handy for bracketing 7 exposures which were processed with Oloneo PhotoEngine into an HDR image. B/W conversion was accomplished with NIK Silver Efex Pro software. NIK Viveza was used for selective dodging and burning. I had to paint a lot of luminosity masks in order to achieve the look I had in my mind. Final grade was done with Topaz Re-Style running in Photoshop CS 5.1. For those who wonder about the plane in the center of the image; to my big surprise, it was actually in the frame when I captured 7 bracketed exposures although I didn't notice it during the shoot!
